HJF is seeking a Psychologist II to be engaged via PEO (Professional Employer Organization) to function as staff member for all categories of patients. Performs duties as a practitioner and consultant in psychiatry with emphasis on problems of all levels of complexity.
 
This position will be in support of the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (LRMC) Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) & Rehabilitation Clinic supporting the Neurofeedback and Cognitive Rehabilitation Programs located on the campus of LRMC.

Responsibilities:
  • Examines, diagnoses, treats, and follows outpatients with psychological problems of all complexities.
  • Provides continuing follow-up for chronic outpatients with acute disorders and complications of these disorders.
  • Provides staff expertise in psychology that is pertinent in a wide variety of circumstances, to include management of patients with psychological disorders.
  • Examines and conducts thorough studies of presenting patients; evaluates laboratory and clinical findings, prescribing appropriate treatment or referring patient to appropriate specialty clinics.
  • Collaborates with physicians in other medical specialties on cases involving complicated and multi-faceted problems.
  • Follows through on all cases to insure effective comprehensive psychological services required.             
  • Performs data collection, analysis and interpretation 
  • Provides standardized treatment to participants on study to support the NICoE expansion of successful interventions for those with TBI and other brain based cognitive difficulties.
  • Collaborates with team across all ISC sites on treatment protocol and training.  
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to diagnose and treat psychological problems of all complexities.  
  • Experience working with patients diagnosed with TBI and/or PTSD highly preferred. 
  • Familiarity with the military population.
  • Familiarity with TBI rehabilitation facilities, inpatient and/or outpatient preferred. 
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of specialized professional literature and scientific findings. 
  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a T1/Public Trust. 
 
Physical Capabilities:
  • Ability to stand or sit at a computer for prolonged periods.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
  • Doctoral degree required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience required.

Licenses and Certifications:
  • Graduate of American Psychological Association approved clinical or counseling psychology graduate program. 
  • Completion of an American Psychological Association approved clinical or counseling psychology internship program. 
  • License for independent practice of Psychology. 
  • Candidates that have a Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) preferred.

Work Environment:
  • This position will take place primarily in an office setting. 

Compensation:
  • The annual salary range for this position is $88,600-$150,000. Actual salary will be determined based on experience, education, etc.
